"Every situation-nay, every moment-is of infinite worth for it is representative
of a whole eternity." Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
At the top of the list of my favorite simple forms of exercise which enables
me to stay toned and healthy, is jumping for a few minutes each day on my rebounder.
Gone are the days of 5-mile runs, pounding and pushing the skeleton till it
shakes, rattles and aches.
I remember as a child having a trampoline in our back yard. For hours we would
jump and perfect our turns, twists and rolls. They're still very popular today
and come in various sizes; the family size one for the yard or compact versions
for a room in your home. The one I have folds in half and has it's own carry
case.
During Ronald Reagan's presidential term in office, he was asked how he stays
in shape. "I found it necessary to exercise indoors for security reasons.
I have a little rebounder I use to get my exercise. So, if you see somebody
jumping up and down on the second floor of the White House, that's me rebounding."
Bob Hope is another enthusiastic supporter saying" I keep my rebounder
at the foot of the bed and use it daily."
Several years back, I read Al Carter's book, New Miracles of Rebound Exercise
and learned how to keep our cells pumped up. When our cells are lively, our
entire system works more smoothly and our immune system is elevated. NASA has
implemented the science behind rebounding to prevent bone loss suffered by the
astronauts while in space.

Exercising with your rebounder
In Al Carter's book, The New Miracles of Rebound Exercise, he provides
us with a myriad of various exercises that can be performed simply and within
a short period of time. Some include just bouncing up and down or side-to-side
or shuffling feet back and forth or jogging in place. For older or incapacitated
people, benefits are still achieved by sitting on the rebounder and gently bouncing
up and down. If a person spends 5 minutes twice daily on their rebounder, wonderful
benefits will be felt. Many of us spend hours sitting in front of our television
sets. So why not bounce while watching a movie or listening to your favorite
music.
