Vaginitis is a general term for an inflammation or infection of the
vagina. Vaginitis can be caused by different microorganisms, including,
Candida albicans (commonly know as yeast infection).
Excessive and improper douching, the use of products such as
artificially scented bath oils or bubble baths, birth control devices
(especially the diaphragm), and/or pills, spermicides, tampons, vaginal
deoderant sprays, and poor hygiene are also contributing causes.
Other factors can include: the use of certain drugs (especially
antibiotics), the existance of parasited, diabetes, hormonal imbalances,
pregnancy, a vitamin B deficiency and poor nutrition---diets high in alcohol,
dairy products, refined carbohydrates, sugar, and yeast products---which
result in an overgrowth of Candidis albicans.
Symptoms Include:
